Mary-Anne Williams holds a Research Chair at the University of Technology, Sydney and is Director of the Innovation and Enterprise Research Laboratory. She has a Masters of Laws and a PhD in Knowledge Representation and Reasoning. In 2005 she was a Visiting Professor at the Copenhagen Business School and is Guest Professorship at the University of Science and Technology China where she gives intensive courses on advanced technology. Mary-Anne Williams is a leading authority on innovation, cognitive architectures and modeling, belief revision, decision-making in complex, uncertain and dynamic environments, business strategy and risk management. She has over a hundred high quality publications and works closely with industry partners including IBM, Google and VisualRisk. She has been Conference Chair and Program Chair for several major international conferences including KR2004, PCAR2006, Commonsense2009 and the International Symposium for Privacy Management. Mary-Anne Williams is Past President of KR Inc, an American Scientific Research Foundation for Knowledge Representation. She recently served 3 years on the Australian Research Council, is the Review Editor for the Artificial Intelligence Journal, and the MIT/American Artificial Intelligence Association Press Editorial Board among others. Mary-Anne Williams was appointed a Fellow with CodeX The Stanford Center for Computers and Law in 2009 where she pursues work on privacy, IP Law, service design, collaborative innovation and creative technologies.
