Sharon Matusik is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado-Boulder (CU). Her research focuses on the knowledge intensive firm and falls into three main streams. The first stream focuses on the relationship of the firm to the external environment and the associated knowledge consequences of this relationship. The second focuses on valuing knowledge stocks. The third centers on firm mechanisms to coordinate and leverage its knowledge stocks and flows. Her recent research has focused on how these issues affect entrepreneurial and venture capital firms. Her work has been published in journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Academy of Management Journal, and Academy of Management Review. She is also the Director of CU’s Doctoral program in Strategic, Organizational, and Entrepreneurial Studies and is on the Editorial Board of AMJ and AMR.
