Michael J. Leiblein is an Associate Professor at Ohio State University. Michael Leiblein's research utilizes aspects of industrial organization, the resource- and knowledge-based perspectives, transaction cost economics, and real options to examine relationships between aspects of economic exchanges (e.g., problem complexity, exchange specificity, uncertainty), organization (e.g., outsourcing, alliance structure) and performance (e.g., persistent heterogeneity in technical and financial performance). His research has been published in a number of leading academic outlets including the Strategic Management Journal and has been disseminated into practice through outlets such as the Financial Times of London. He currently sits on the editorial boards of the Strategic Management Journal and the Academy of Management Review, serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Management and provides ad hoc editorial services for a variety of journals including Management Science, Organization Science, and the Academy of Management Journal.
