Submit an Award Nomination!

Click below and create an account on the new SMS tool, Submittable. Once you've created your profile, you will be able to provide the award nominations requirements in your submission. 

Nomination Requirements for SMS Awards & Honors

All nominations must be submitted by a current member of the Strategic Management Society. If you are not a current member, please click here to join!

All SMS Awards & Honors Nominations should be submitted through Submittable, an online web portal that will collect all of the details of the nomination. If you need assistance with submissions, please contact us for support.

CK Prahalad Award for Scholarly Impact on Practice

In order to nominate a candidate for the CK Prahalad Award for Scholarly Impact on Practice, please submit the below materials to the SMS Executive Office through the Submittable form. 

  • A nomination letter by an SMS member
  • A full current CV for the nominated individual

SMS Educational Impact Award

In order to nominate a candidate for the SMS Educational Impact Award, please submit the below materials to the SMS Executive Office through the Submittable form.

  • A nomination letter of not more than two pages in length specifically addressing the nominee’s achievements in the innovation of teaching strategic management
  • Two additional letters of recommendation for the nominated individual
  • A full current CV for the nominated individual

SMS Emerging Scholar Award

In order to nominate a candidate for the SMS Emerging Scholar Award, please submit the below materials to the SMS Executive Office through the Submittable form.

  • A nomination letter by another SMS member, who is not a faculty member at the same university as the nominated individual
  • Two additional letters of recommendation for the nominated individual
  • A full current CV for the nominated individual

SMS Service Award

In order to nominate a candidate for the SMS Service Award, please submit the below materials to the SMS Executive Office through the Submittable form. 

  • The name of the nominated individual
  • An explanation of why the individual is deserving of the award
